A wildflower weekend will take place May 4-6 at Pine Mountain Settlement School.
The weekend will begin with dinner at 6 p.m. April 30, followed by a presentation by Ellis Laudermilk, invertebrate biologist with the Kentucky State Nature Preserves Commission.
Saturday, Laudermilk and Pine Mountain Settlement School Director of Environment Education Ben Begley will lead hikes at Kingdom Come State Park and Black Mountain. The Mountain Drive Band will perform Saturday night.
Following an early morning birdwatching trip on Sunday, there will a fern identification walk, a campus hike, and a car trip to the top of Pine Mountain.
