William Adams succumbs

William “Plumber Bill” Adams, 93, of Letcher, died November 26 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center.

A son of the late George M and Sally Banks Adams, he was the widower of Emma Joyce Campbell Adams.

Surviving are two sons, George David “Bumper” Adams and wife Carolyn of Letcher and William Richard “Dickie” Adams and wife Dianne of Isom; a brother, Luther Adams of Morehead; a sister, Danola Bell of Ohio; six grandchildren, Kristi, Robert, Lori, Willie, Julie, and Abbie; and eight great-grandchildren, Tevin, Quentin, Emma, Anna, Eli, Molly, Arlee, and Zack.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Easton.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions private services will be held.

    Sorry to hear about Plumber Bill. I got to work for him out of highschool before I joined the Navy. He was a good man. My heart goes out to the family. Charlie N
