Willie Carl Webb, 78, died June 16 at his home on Webb Branch in Jenkins.
Born in Jenkins, he was a son of the late Ellis and Eunice Yonts Webb.
Mr. Webb was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran and served from 1962 until 1966 as a military policeman. While serving his country, he achieved the rank as U.S. Air Force Airman First Class.
Webb Branch has recently been dedicated to Mr. Webb in honor of his service as well as his rank.
Mr. Webb was a member and former commander of the Neon American Legion Post 104, and served in many capacities and enjoyed working and spending his time there.
He was well known for his exceptional billiards skills and won many tournaments throughout his life.
An avid fan of the University of Kentucky, he enjoyed going to watch its games played with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Willie Carl Webb, Jr.
He is survived by Brenda Webb; and his children, Carter Webb and wife Tammy, Delana Castañon, Amanda Coffey and husband Brent, Leann Collins and husband Ricky, Vickie Barnger and husband Jason, Donnie Webb and wife Katie, and Teddy Webb; 16 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda Yonts of Hopkinsville.
Funeral services for Mr. Webb were held June 20 at the Carty Funeral Home in Neon. Burial was in the Webb family cemetery in Jenkins.
