Hello and how was your week? I do hope it was a good one and hope this finds everyone well and happy.
It’s been a so-so week here, with not too much going on at all. We have had some rain, some very cool weather and a mild day here and there.
Took Red to see his eye doctor yesterday. He really hasn’t been doing too well. I sure wish he could feel better.
Talked to Georgia, who also is not doing all that well, but is going to have tests to find out just what is going on with her. I sure hope they can find the cause and that it isn’t anything too serious — something they can take care of and soon.
As I write this, I have a pot of mustard greens on the stove cooking. I wanted to pick more today, but it is too rainy and wet.
Talked to Clara Pfister of Clarkston, Michigan. Bless her heart. She is having some medical issues and needs your prayers. Hello to her sisters, Kathy Hofmann in Erlanger, Ky., and Jeanette Adams in Isom.
We had company last week, first our girl Liz Gobolich of Amherst, Ohio. Liz is a niece of Alvania Shepherd of Isom. Not long after Liz left, two other ladies came by, Redia Engle and her visiting friend, Mary Turner of Columbus, Ohio. We love company.
Better get my November birthday wishes on the way while I’m thinking about it. I don’t want to forget (not that I would ever do so!). Happy birthday to the following: On Nov. 3, Red’s sister, Jean Hunsucker of Eolia, and his niece Gloria Jean Strough of Norton, Va. On the fifth, my niece, Christy Adams of Jeffersonville, Ind., and cousin, Madge Sergent of Jackson, Ky., celebrate. Nephew Rodney Sergent of Elyria, Ohio celebrates on the ninth, while on the 16th, brother Henry Warren Sergent of Murray, Ky., and great granddaughter Julia Engle of Elyria will celebrate.
Pat Holcomb, also of Elyria, celebrates on the 15th; great niece Cassie Provoznic of Wellington, Ohio celebrates on the 17th, and grandson David Engle, of Lorain, and nephew Bobby Goins of Bedford, Ky., have birthdays on the 20th. Red’s nephew, Langley Engle, will celebrate his birthday on Nov. 25, and great niece Jordan Sergent of Lorain celebrates hers on the 27th.
Wishing all a fantastic day with lots of cake, ice cream and gifts. These wishes also go to all others who celebrate a birthday or anniversary in November.
On our way to the doctor’s office we saw a few stands of trees beautifully dressed, but not as vibrant as in other years. Maybe next year. I dearly love to see all the glorious colors. Wish I could make a quilt using all the colors of all the leaves. Maybe I’ll work on that.
Time to say so long until next time. Leaving you with best wishes for a happy and blessed week, with love and prayers.
