A 47-year-old Whitesburg woman was arrested on several charges Sunday after she fled from police.
State police say Creeda M. Stallard, of 30 Refuse Drive, caused a disturbance at Calvary Temple at Sandlick before she allegedly drove away intoxicated in a 2008 Nissan Versa. Kentucky State Police Trooper Brandon Thomas and Letcher County Sheriff ’s Deputy Crystal Davis located the vehicle, but Stallard refused to stop and attempted to flee.
According to a police citation written by Thomas, speeds reached 90 miles per hour.
After a three-mile pursuit, Stallard was arrested at 1:27 p.m. on Feb. 27 and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and improper turning.
She was also charged with no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to produce an insurance card and failure to wear a seat belt.
