Woman is seeking photo of her father

Kingscreek

The Kingscreek Community Church youth group is needing helpers. If you’re interested in helping the youth group, be at the church at 6 p.m. today (Wednesday). Danny F. and Lacey Ison can give you all the details.

Our grass was about two feet tall and Andrea Cornett brought her push lawnmower and weed eater to our house and mowed our yard. She worked all day last Thursday. I’m sure glad we still have neighbors who believe in the Ten Commandments.

My nephew, Linnie, and Debbie Fryman, two grandchildren, their daughter, Stephanie, and their mom, Mae McKee, visited. Mae is my sister and she has been in the Philippines for the last six years doing missionary work. We had a fun time. We went to Danny F. and Lacey Ison’s for dinner. I really enjoyed hearing about the missionary work that is being done in the Philippines. Mae is going back there for five years. Her visa is renewed for that. She said she really was blessed doing God’s work.

Mae McKee’s name was Birchel Mae Stamper. She has been trying to find someone with a photo of her father, the late Birchel Stamper. Mae has been trying to get a photo of her real father for years. Our mother has been gone for 12 years. We never felt any different about each other but Mae has know for years that our father, Ambers Akemon, was not her real dad. Mae said she wishes she could just see a photo of Birchel Stamper. We were just wondering if anyone would happen to have one.

Anyone with a photo or information on how to get one can email me at margie.ison@yahoo.com or mae_mckee@yahoo.com. Or you can send a copy of a photo to Mae McKee, 54 P Hernando St., Apt. B, Brgy #4, Laoag City, Philippines, Ilocos Norte 2900, or Margie Ison, P.O. Box 474, Whitesburg, KY 474.

If anyone would like to help with the missionary work, you can send donations to either address.

School will be back in session before we know it. I really hate to see it start.

There will be a yard sale on Maple Street on August 1 and 2, weather permitting.
