Work nearly finished on new business buildings

Two new Whitesburg buiidings at different stages of construction will soon have an effect on retail sales and the health care profession in Letcher County. The photo above shows a new structure at Pine Mountain Junction that is already home to the Mountain Instant Care clinic and will soon be the new location of Pine Mountain Outfitters, now located at Ermine. The building, which is owned by the Childers family and shares a parking lot with Pine Mountain Grill, will also house a second retail store. At left is a building in West Whitesburg being built as the new home of East Kentucky Physical Therapy, which will soon vacate its current location beside Food City to make room for an expansion by the grocery company that is expected to cost at least $1 million.
