Workshop will focus on historic buildings

A workshop on maintaining historic buildings will be held May 16 through May 18 at Pine Mountain Settlement School.

Instructors Tom McDowell and Michael Spencer will provide instruction in the use of high and low technology to diagnose sources of maintenance problems. Participants will learn to analyze problems, make assessments, set priorities for treatment, and address particular issues.

The workshop will begin with dinner at 6 p.m., May 16, followed by an introductory session. Classes will continue on May 17 and May 18. The workshop ends with lunch on May 18. The cost is $350 which includes meals, lodging, tuition and printed materials. For more information, call (606) 558-3571.
