Mark Wright, agency manager for Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance in Letcher County, has been named 2019 Agency Manager of the Year for District Five. The award was presented during the company’s 65th annual sales conference, held in Louisville earlier this week.
The District Five Agency Manager of the Year award recognizes the agency manager who displayed the highest level of excellence in overall sales production, satisfactory loss-ratio, service to policyholders and an affirmative attitude. District Five is a 24-county region consisting of agencies in the following counties: Bath, Boyd, Breathitt, Carter, Elliott, Floyd, Greenup, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Perry, Pike, Powell, Rowan and Wolfe.
Wright is a graduate of Morehead State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. He began his career as an agent in November 1995 and was appointed as agency manager of the Letcher County agency in February 2001. He and his wife, Ellena, have one daughter named Chloe. Wright is also a minister at the Church of Christ, and he loves coaching Little League in his spare time.
