Lt. Wesley Yonts and wife Mollie have been visiting with family and friends at Morehead and in Georgia, and his grandparents Duane and Anna Yonts on Cowan.
Wesley is stationed in Anchorage, Ala. He recently returned from a tour in Afghanistan.
Martha and Mike Wenning and John Campbell’s daughter, Janis Marr, and family enjoyed the long weekend on Cowan. Martha was at church Sunday, and visiting with her Aunt Virginia.
She is making big plans for the Gibson reunion in June. We are hoping to see many of our relatives who haven’t attended recently.
Shirley Harris in Mississippi has had knee surgery. We hope it will make her much better. She did get to enjoy her big hoedown birthday celebration first. We hear it was a great success. Some of her cousins had hoped to go down for it, but were prevented by the weather.
Minerva and Russell Yonts are spending some time on Cowan. It is always good to have them around joining in our little get-togethers.
Sunday, Minerva and Anna visited their aunt Elsie Banks.
Marilyn Banks of Edinburgh, Ind. visited friends and relatives on Little Cowan. During her visit, Marilyn got to visit with her Aunt Virginia, who recently had surgery. She went shopping, played games, and ate meals with her family. Patrick didn’t get to come with her because he had to work.
Their son, Jeramy, will graduate from Indiana University this semester. He is now working at the university library in Columbus, Ind.
Linda Lucas of Little Cowan had surgery on her shoulder in Winston-Salem, N.C. She is recuperating at the home of her daughter, Beth Callahan. Remember her in your prayers.
