YOU CAN HELP SEND A CHILD TO CAMP

— Kentucky State Police Troopers David Combs and Tony Watts sold two chances on a black Dodge Challenger RT to Bobby Johnson, of Neon, at the Whitesburg Walmart on April 3. The vehicle will be given away August 30 at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. Proceeds benefit Trooper Island, which state police established in 1965 at Dale Hollow Lake near the Cumberland and Clinton County line. The free summer camp is for underprivileged children between the ages of 10 and 12. Trooper Island Inc. is a non-profit organization that operates on private contributions. More chances on the Challenger are available by calling KSP at 606-435-6069. (Eagle photo)
