— Jaida Hopkins, 14, participated in the 4-H State Equestrian Championship in Shelbyville, Tenn., on June 7-9. She received Champion of Handy Hunter over three-foot fences, Champion of Working Hunter over three-foot fences, and three other first- and second-place finishes. She is the daughter of Tony and Valeri Hopkins of Bean Station, Tenn., and the granddaughter of James Hopkins of Jenkins and the late Judy Hopkins, and Jimmy and Kathy Mullins of Burdine.
