Youth hold back-to-school bash

Kingscreek

The Kingscreek Community Church Youth Group had a backto school bash August 17. They had the inflatable slide and jumping gym.

The group is called the New Generation Youth Group and meets the first and third Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. Here is the schedule: Sept. 7, a surprise trip; Sept. 21, Fall Festival; Oct. 5, Harvest Time; Oct. 19, Hallelujah Night; Nov. 2, Vote for Jesus as King of Kings; Nov. 16, Happy Turkey Day; Dec. 7, surprise trip; Dec. 21, Birthday Party for Jesus. For more information or if you need a ride, call Danny and Lacey Ison at 633-1181. B.B. Roark is the bus driver.

The church has a web site you can get on and see all the pictures and things going on. It’s www.kingscreekchurch.org.

Phyllis Caudill had company this weekend. Her grandson, Ben Caudill, and his friend, Brandon Smith, were in. Ben, Brandon, and Wendy Ison painted the roof of Phyllis’s other grandson, Shawn Combs’s, trailer. I was in total shock when I saw Wendy on the roof, but of course she must have been supervising. They also painted Phyllis’s barn and she cooked them a huge supper. Amazing what the younger generation can do, isn’t it?
