Raging River Band will perform from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday, July 11, at Whitesburg American Legion Post 152 on Hwy. 119. Horseshoe tournaments are held every Sunday at the post, as well as pool tournaments every Wednesday at 7 p.m. (members only). For more information, call 633- 2834.

The Letcher County Cooperative Extension Service will hold its 12th annual Fruit & Vegetable Contest August 7.
