Ex-inspector faces pill charge



A Whitesburg man was arrested Tuesday evening and charged with drug trafficking. Robert Anthony Sturgill, 45, of 111 Coolie Baker Road, was arrested May 1 and charged with seconddegree trafficking in a controlled substance. Junior teens set meeting



A Letcher County Junior Teen Council meeting will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 3 at the Letcher County Extension Office. All youth in sixth, seventh and eighth grades are welcome to come and attend the meeting. Beekeepers will gather



The Mountain Beekeeper Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. on May 8 at the Letcher County Extension Office, which is located at 478 Extension Drive, off of the Whitesburg Bypass and Stone Ave. The meeting is free and open to the public.
