FIFTH BIRTHDAY



Aiden Jaylynn Nichol Fields will be five years old on Feb. 3. She is the daughter of Terry Jr. and Jessica Fields of Cowan. Her grandparents are Terry and Marcella Fields of Cowan, and Melinda Baker of Whitesburg. She will celebrate her birthday with a Frozen party at her grandparents’ home with family and friends.

Goff is new leader of Jenkins board



Longtime vice chairman Tracy Goff has been elected to serve a one-year term as chairman Jenkins Independent Schools Board of Education. The board took the action Monday at its January meeting. Hospice receives grant



Hospice of the Bluegrass has been awarded a $6,000 grant by the Berea College Appalachian Fund.
